Rachel Jordan-Wolf moving to work with HOPE Together

Dr Rachel Jordan-Wolf is joining the HOPE Together team as Assistant Director in July. Rachel has worked closely with HOPE since she started her role as National Mission and Evangelism Adviser for the Church of England.

The partnership between HOPE Together and the Church of England has resulted in creative resources for local churches in evangelism and mission including those to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012, as well as the centenary of the beginning and end of World War 1.

The ground-breaking Talking Jesus research was another joint project produced in partnership together with the Evangelical Alliance, leading to the innovative Talking Jesus video course which has been adopted by many Church of England dioceses as well as churches across the spectrum of denominations.

Rachel’s role in youth evangelism initiatives such as Mission Academy Live has been another aspect of the fruitful HOPE/ Church of England partnership, leading to many young people being equipped and inspired to share their Christian faith with their peers.

‘It has been amazing to work with Rachel as our link to the Church of England over the past seven years,’ says Roy Crowne, HOPE’s executive director. ‘As we seek to strengthen the HOPE team going forward, we are thrilled that we have persuaded Rachel to join us full-time.’

Dave Male, the Church of England’s Director of Evangelism and Discipleship says, ‘Rachel has done great work over the last 10 years on evangelism for the Church of England. We have benefitted from the close relationship with HOPE through Rachel’s work. We are keen to continue this effective partnership as we seek to support the local work of bringing people to faith, and strengthening their Christian life.’

Rachel joins HOPE Together at an exciting time as stories are coming in of churches using the Talking Jesus course and finding fresh confidence to put their faith into words.

She says, ‘I’m enormously grateful to the Archbishops’ Council for the opportunities of the past 10 years and excited to be moving to work for HOPE. I have seen so much fruit through working in partnership with HOPE enabling both Anglicans and others to reach out effectively in evangelism. My vision remains the same: to see the local church equipped for evangelism and our nation reached with the good news of Jesus and I’m delighted that I will still be able to serve the Church of England and other denominations in my new role.’

As well as Roy Crowne, the HOPE Together team includes Associate Director Rev Canon Yemi Adedeji, recently appointed Youth Director Dan Randall, and Communications Director Catherine Butcher.
