Delay is not denial

It’s wonderful to have the summer weather and to be able to get away or plan to have a break.

Yet we’ve all heard the announcements about the delay to the world opening up until July 19th.

But we’re holding on! We need deep roots to survive challenging times – roots in God.

In Psalm 1 we’re reminded that we need to be rooted like a tree by a stream of water. That water is God’s Word. By meditating on it day and night we will find strength in times of drought – or difficulty. Even the changes that are good can cause us stress and anxiety.

Find out about the impact of lockdown easing.

Easing out of lockdown

We can't deny it's been a tough season for most, we've been talking to Revd Will Van Der Hart, Coach and Director of the Mind and Soul Foundation, about maintaining our wellbeing as we remain in the ‘are we, aren’t we?’ phase of exiting lockdown. Will has done a fantastic job explaining ways to emotional health as we await the full ease of restrictions and how even the anticipation can have a negative impact!

Watch this space, as HOPE Together is working with lots of partners to help your church be at the centre of community celebrations. Amplify Assets quote
School’s out soon and young people will be back socialising with friends, family and experiencing new things. It’s a great time to think about their influence. Amplify is a surefire way to strengthen their faith and help them take up opportunities to share with their peers.
