News Update May 2017

‘Ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
(Ephesians 1:15-16)

We are thrilled to hear how many churches are making plans for mission together in 2018. We give thanks for all those who are putting faith into words and action to make Jesus known, and we pray regularly for you, giving thanks to God. We are also excited to launch HOPE Revolution’s new initiative - Mission Academy Live – to equip young people to make Jesus known in 2018. Watch the video above and pass the details on to the youth leader and young people in your church.

London and Sheffield launch for Mission Academy Live

Key gatekeepers in youth ministry met together in London on Friday and Sheffield on Monday to hear about the vision for Mission Academy Live. Youth leaders across the country have been consulted and inspired by Mission Academy Live. There has been much excitement about its simplicity and the scale to which this 10-episode video series could affect the country. This evangelism film series empowers young people to share their faith. Showcasing the summary findings of the latest research by ComRes into young people’s attitude to Jesus, it is due to roll out across the country from September this year.

This new resource has backing from YFC, Scripture Union, Urban Saints, Soul Survivor and many others and is set to play a key part in seeing the HOPE vision realised: to see the church grow by 10% in MA-LIVELogo2018. HOPE's Youth Director Phil Timson says: 'Young people must be at the heart of this vision, and together with its partners, HOPE Revolution is empowering a new wave of peer to peer evangelism.'

Mike Pilavachi, one of the HOPE founders, says: ‘We want to see loads of people come to Jesus. As someone deeply committed to mission, ministry and leadership training among young people today, I am excited about HOPE Revolution’s Mission Academies and the vision to equip young leaders with vision, understanding and creativity to serve God in our world.’
