Our communities generally have hope, they just haven’t seen what they hope for
Question: Job 17:15 Where then is my hope – who can see any hope for me?
Consider: Proverbs 13:12 ‘Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life
Consider: Romans 8:24 ‘For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?’
Answer: Roman 15:13 ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.’
As a member of the HOPE Leadership Team, a Christ ambassador in advocacy and a social entrepreneur, I am convinced that the Church must hope together for our villages, towns and cities, by sharing the love of God in word and action.
HOPE is a tremendous value added and has resourced me as I engage with churches and encourage them to be relevant within their communities. The heartbeat of HOPE is the heartbeat of mission; which is, seeing communities in churches and churches in communities that are filled with joy, peace and a trust in God that overflows with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our communities long for values that give human existence significance and meaning. My experience on the road, promoting HOPE with the varied resources it gifts the Church, is that it empowers our churches to contribute their quota in giving their communities true significance and meaning.
Great Britain used to be truly great, let’s hope together to make it truly great again.
